In the following lines you can see how to take care of wool products, especially wool blankets, bedspreads, carpets and other wool products, so that you do not damage and last as long as possible. Wool is a material with a very long life, but it is necessary to keep in mind several basic principles. It is nothing complicated, and if you follow them, your wool gems will make you happy for decades, even in our hand -woven carpets even to your children and grandchildren.

How to take care of woolen blankets, bedspreads and carpets and other wool products at home?

In general, there is no need for woolen blankets or bedspreads to wash very often. Wool fiber has great self -cleaning skills that keep the woolen product for a long time in excellent quality. The proven method to keep the woolen blanket as new as new is frequent ventilation in the fresh air and posting in direct sunlight. The wave will come alive and the sun's rays prevent the potential germs of the moths and other pests.

In freezing weather, we recommend blankets and other woolen bedspreads, carpets, kilometers and others, spread on a layer of snow cover for several hours and on both sides. The snow can get rid of all dirt and dust, while the fiber refreshes and together with frost again acts as protection of wool from the moths. Ventilation, sunbathing and freezing are very effective and at the same time the simplest and least strenuous methods, as woolen products can be maintained clean, beautiful, protected from pests and maintain the correct function of the wool fiber. We can recommend them with a clear conscience as a very suitable way of care for all our woolen products!

How to protect the wave from moths?

If you do not use woolen blankets or bedspreads and have them stored in the cabinet, we recommend inserting a pillow with dried lavender flower, or pillow on which you can drop a few drops of essential lavender oil. For example, you can use the one from us that contains nothing more than 100% of the genuine lavender oil - Lavandula Angustifolia. Lavender repels the moths and acts as a completely natural protection of wool products, and it also smells beautiful. We recommend applying this protection for all stored wool products - even for merino tricks and sweaters that you do not use for part of the year. Even so, once in a while stored woolen products should be inspected and ventilated, renowned or thwarted (see above).

How to wash woolen blankets and bedspreads?

All of our blankets without difference can be washed in domestic conditions and there is no need to wear them in the treatment plant. All you need is a washing machine on which you choose a wool program. It should automatically have a preset wash temperature so that it does not exceed 25, as a last case 30 degrees. If your washing machine does not have a wool program directly, choose fine washing and set the lowest possible temperature, maximum 30 degrees, but ideally lower. Do not set the prewash or rinse or squeeze. Do not use conventional detergent or fabric softener - they could damage the wave. Use wool with lanolin. Lanolin is a sheep fat that naturally contains the wool. Lanoline agent ensures that the wool fiber is well cleaned and properly treated and the washing itself will not have a negative effect on it. Our gel with lanolin Moreover, the natural scent of the wool will be complemented by the fresh scent of the Balkan mountain herbs.

After washing the woolen products, do not dry in the dryer in any way - they could knock down. Remove the woolen fabric from the washing machine and let it out first and drain all the water - it is recommended to place it on the clothes dryer and wait until all the water flows. Only when your woolen product is rather wet than downright wet can you hang it to dry completely. If you would hurry, there is a risk that your blanket under the weight of wet material will be pulled out and loses its shape.

How to wash woolen products in hand?

If you are not sure that your washing machine can wash wool or woolen product - eg carpet - can simply not fit in the washing machine, you can wash it manually. Include in a sink or bathtub lukewarm to cold water, add Lanolin and immerse the woolen fabric. Let at least 20 to 30 min. Then drain the old water, fill it with clean and repeat this process until a gentle rinse until completely clean water flows out of the wool. In this way, all blankets, bedspreads, carpets, treads, but also wool clothes can be washed.

How to take care of woolen carpets?

We offer several types of carpets. The simplest, but at the same time in a very effective way is ventilation, sunbathing and freezingthat we described above. Woolen carpet, regardless of whether it is a smoothly woven tread or kilim, or a guber or cottage with high hair, will be very well cleaned and treated with these most natural methods of wool care. It will cost you only minimal efforts. All carpets from our offer can also be vacuumed.

The carpets of smaller dimensions and volume can be washed as well as blankets in the washing machine. If you follow the above procedure, you do not have to worry that the carpet will depreciate in the washing machine. It is recommended to insert the hair bag before washing the tall hair carpet so that the hair that the carpet can play during washing does not pass the washing machine drum. In the washing machine we do not recommend washing only our hand woven kilims, with regard to their high value. Carpets that do not fit into the washing machine you can wash in your hand as we described above.

If only a local spot is to be cleaned on your carpet, it is recommended to soak the place with cold water, coat natural, eg with Aleppic soap, let it act for a while, and then rinse the cold water again.

How to wash wool clothes - Merino sweaters and t -shirts and scarves with wool and cashmere or woolen socks?

Wool and Merino wool clothing can be washed without worrying in the washing machine for the wool program just as we described u blanket. So use only Lanolin, not conventional means. Do not use any fabric softener. If you do not have a wool program, wash on a fine program with the lowest temperature selection, ideally around 25 degrees. Do not pour the wool products or dry in the dryer. Allow the water to flow first before hanging as described as described above. If you are not sure of your washing machine, you can wash our clothes and accessories from the wool even in the hands.

How to wash cotton bedspreads, towels and towels?

For these products, you can proceed as with washing conventional cotton clothing. Choose a cotton program and a maximum temperature of 40 degrees. You can also dry our cotton products in a dryer.
