The blanket of this series is characterized by a combination of bright colors and stripes, which can also be used as a distinctive element in the interior - for example as a bedspread over a couch or bed. It is good to know that the Rainbow blankets have in the size of 160x240 cm and even 160x270 cm, so we will find the biggest long. Both dimensions can be used as an interesting curtain, respectively. insulating wall. The wave, as we know, is one of the best insulators and Rainbow with its typical compactness will serve well as a screen or vestibule at the entrance to the building - so we use it in our shop.
The blankets that can be used well for outdoor activities are definitely traditional plaid blankets Rodop and Pearlika. For centuries, their long life and quality, which will persist truly generations have proven themselves. Thanks to the high weight, Rodopy together with Rainbow are the hottest blankets in our offer and are therefore suitable for outdoor use throughout the year. And just to the edge - the blankets of Rodopa are a classic that is one of the symbols of every mountain house in Bulgaria. Rodopa will serve you outdoors throughout the year, while its sister Perelika due to the lower grammage rather only in the spring/autumn season, eg as a plaid for cold evening on the terrace. Its brightly colored decor predetermines it as a distinctive accessory to the living room, bedspread through Divan, etc. Other blankets, especially those of merino wool, are more suitable as interior blankets. Likewise, the blankets Kalandil are more suitable for its combed surface.
With or without fringes?
Blanket Pearlika decorated with hand -involved and bound longer fringes, which connects it with her counterparts from Merino wool Perellika merino, Marina, January and Costume. All have beautiful hand -bound decorative fringes with a length of about 10 cm. However, they are shorter and are not entangled. On the contrary Rainbow or Gergana It has edges lined with thick thread - they have so -called enthusiasm. This is especially useful if you want to cover the blanket and use it as a blanket. A shameless blanket, such as Gergana, or with short fringes, like Rhodop, fits much better in the bedding and holds shape in it. If you choose a blanket for sleeping, in bedding, for practical reasons, we recommend choosing some fringes, fringes, on the contrary, underline the typical look of the blanket and its decorative role in the home.
Fine or rustic? And what does that mean?
The fineness of the wool can be assessed in several ways. Whether the blanket is soft or not is a large extent subjective feeling. What is pleasant to one may mind the other. And so it is with a wave. For your simpler orientation, the fineness for each blanket is marked with one of the five -point scale from the coarser to the finest: rustic - classic - soft - very fine - extra soft.
If you belong to those who prefer soft materials and yet you would like a woolen blanket, then we recommend focusing on blankets marked either as very fine or extra fine. The very fine category includes our blankets from Merino. These are really soft blankets that are most comparable to all of our blankets with cotton. All the blankets Perellika merino, Costume, Marina, Caliability, January whose Rodop Merino They are really soft and you can put them in use to children. Especially blanket Gergana Due to the merino and filled surface used, it is even slightly softer than the other merino blankets. From personal experience we have proven use of our Merino DEK for children from birth. As children grow and change their needs, we also enrich the offer. Thus, in our assortment at the explicit wishes of our customers - mothers found, for example, Gergana blanket in the dimension 60 × 120 cm (used as a mattress protector).
In the extra fine blanket category you will find Merino blankets of the series Perellika merino and Marinathat are even finer than our classic merino blankets. How is it possible? Merino blankets included in the category of very fine blankets are made of merino yarn with a wool fiber thickness of 25 microns. Merino blankets in extra fine category are made of only 21 microns. There is a direct proportion between the thickness of the fiber and the softness of the resulting material. The weaker the fiber, the finer the blanket. Really speaking is a similar difference as between cotton and silk. So it is really the tip in terms of fineness!
The other three steps indicate blankets that are primarily made of local Bulgarian wool, which is characterized by a slightly larger fiber thickness (the thickness of the fiber counts on the wool for microns). The thicker the fiber, the less fine wool. Finally, the blanket finish, which has the ability of the blanket to the touch to the level to the level of feeling slightly lower than the Merino blankets. This is the case of our interior decorative decorations with a combed surface that affects the touch of very soft (in our scale led as fine).
In general, blankets made of fine material or with a finer surface are a little more delicate. The blankets that can be assessed as larger "holders" that can handle even extreme conditions and use outdoors are also a little rough from the logic (in our offer marked as classic and rustic), but they are also able to soften over time and use. This process can be accelerated by washing the blanket while maintaining our maintenance instructions. Even in the blanket with this fineness (rustic, classic), after some time, it is possible to achieve a certain softening of the surface, without the blanket to lose its compactness and robustness.
Natural or colored?
Basically, all blankets that are in shades of white, cream, elephant bones or amber colors, as well as blankets in various brown and gray shades, are made of uninterrupted wool. If you are a lovers of the original natural look, then these blankets are the right choice for you. For those that are made only of uninhabited wool (Rodop, Wag, Abata, Pearlika, etc.), you will find the symbol "made of natural uninhabited wool" under the picture. Other blankets from the offer are made of non -colored yarn - it is like white, gray or brown, used as the main base color and can make up more than 80% of the material. However, since these blankets also contain colored yarn, we do not identify them the above symbol. The blankets of uncoloured yarn may initially feel more wave - ie sheep fat of Lanolin. It is a natural feature that is a real indicator of material nature. Over time, the aroma of lanolin fades out of the blanket, but if you mind, you can speed up the process by washing the blanket while maintaining maintenance instructions. The vast majority of our blankets are made of wool, which was cleaned only by mechanical way, without carbonization (chemical cleaning in sulfuric acid) and without the use of detergent. They retain a large part of the properties that one has ever appreciated on this natural material.
