Cosmetics containing the oil of the Damascene Rose are characterized by a charmingly delicate, unmistakable scent. It has strong anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, and also has a positive effect on tissue regeneration. It cleanses, firms and moisturises the skin, leaving it soft to the touch.
The tradition of rose oil production in Bulgaria dates back to the 17th century. The oil is gently extracted from the petals of the Damascene rose, one of the rarest varieties of this flower, and up to four tonnes of roses are used to produce one kilogram of oil. It's no wonder then that rose oil is one of the most luxurious raw materials for cosmetics - and increasingly in demand for its unique properties.
It has antimicrobial and antiseptic properties, making it suitable for regular skin cleansing as well as for treating minor injuries. It also promotes the regeneration of surface and deep tissues, slowing down the formation of wrinkles and other signs of ageing. When the oil is gently massaged into the skin, it firms, perfuses blood and subsequently soothes the skin, but never irritates or dries the skin. It can also be used effectively for muscle aches and cramps. Rose oil is also said to have a positive effect on the human psyche as an antidepressant.
In our range you will find cleansing and nourishing rose waters, nourishing oils for different skin types and massage oils for firming the body.
