Cotton towels

Cotton towels and bath towels made of genuine Turkish cotton. Their great advantage is their low weight and volume. This makes them perfect for travelling - they take up minimal space in your luggage. Despite its smaller weight, the material is very absorbent and thus perfectly replaces the classic terry towel. Another advantage is that it dries quickly. These towels can be used not only as a full-fledged replacement for classic towels. They are perfect for the beach and, in our geographical conditions, also as an imaginative yet very practical piece of equipment for the sauna or spa.

It is a traditional product manufactured for us by a manufactory in Asia Minor, near Izmir. In Turkey, hand-woven cotton towels and towels with fringes are mainly used when visiting hammams and spas.

We bring them as a set consisting of a large towel measuring 100×180 cm and a small towel measuring 45×95 cm. This traditional cotton fabric is known as peshtemal in Turkey. We named our set Portokala, which is a name based on the Greek word portokali, which is also used in Turkish and Bulgarian and means orange. Just like the subtropical fruit, the towels remind us of summer in full bloom with their playful patterns and colours!
