The blanket is made of the finest Merino wool. Merino is an old European breed of sheep - the wool used in this blanket comes mainly from Spain and Hungary. From there it is imported in its raw state to Bulgaria, where it is woven into these very fine blankets, which are an alternative to the similarly woven and slightly coarser blankets made from the local Rhodope wool. The Rodopa Merino blanket is made in the same way as Rodopa II. The individual blocks on the blanket are slightly embossed, which makes for a very interesting combination with the simple natural color of the blanket. This blanket is undyed and combines the elegance of a timeless pattern with a premium natural material. It is a higher weight blanket, so it can be used as a warm blanket or a bedspread or divan with a simple yet eye-catching aesthetic.
